About AWESOME Volunteering

The 2018 AWESOME Festival (28 September – 12 October) is fast approaching, and we are on the lookout for a team of superstar volunteers to help us run the festival!

Volunteering with AWESOME provides the opportunity to gain hands on experience in all aspects of arts and event management. Every day at the festival brings something new and exciting with various roles including:

Festival Assistant:

The lifeblood of the AWESOME Festival! Festival Assistants will perform a variety of tasks:

  • Answering questions from the public
  • Manning exhibitions and installations
  • Assisting artists with workshops/activities
  • Front of House duties / collecting door lists
  • Distributing programs and other promotional materials
