Fitness Park Day
In September 2007, AWESOME@Vale kicked off a great day of arts activities. Community families were invited to ‘make a mark’ on their park! Artists Bec Juniper and Minaxi May helped everyone create bird designs which were used as stencils on the new fitness park footy posts. The bird designs were used as the cut-out designs on the brass inlays which were fabricated at a later date and then installed into the park. Roly Skender had the AWESOME caravan cranking with tunes and helped all participants document the event using new photography skills.
