The Fly is a 9-minute film and theatre experience in which self-taught artist Vincent der Rooij manipulates everyday objects and ideas to create a short film in front of the audience.
Der Rooij uses ordinary, day-to-day objects as his actors by changing their functions and meanings to construct metaphoric characters and situations out of them. His theatre is image-driven, using stories, electrical devices, music, water, fire, wind and has no dialogue.
The Fly is an intimate film journey designed for a smaller audience.
