Suburban Canvas - Pen Plan China
March
Australia (Melbourne) 16–23 Nov Forrest Place
Suburban Canvas is a cardboard replica of a Chinese home in celebration of Western Australia’s unique releation with China. Audiences enter this full-size replica to experience another domestic reality and then work with artists to create drawn responses on the surfaces of the house. The house becomes a giant community artwork. Sound responses are also recorded and linked to the Red Megaphone project.
• Please dress to mess – this activity involves drawing and painting, which is fun and messy!
• Participants will have to remove shoes to enter the replica house in order to protect the house and artworks.
