How do you tell a story without using any words?

Make pictures come alive with animation – it’s not as easy as you think!

Theatre workshop

Dr Egg Director Jessica Wilson presents an exciting practical workshop working with simple puppetry forms, physical and gestural performance and 2D cutouts.

Using the narrative from a well-known story, participants will create a performance which is not reliant on words to tell the story.

Make Your Move dance workshop

Record interesting sounds, beatbox to your own funky rhythms, chose your favourite songs - then make up dance moves to choreograph a short group performance.
AWESOME’s lead dance artist Aimee Smith will show you how to pop, crump and ghetto dance.

Animation workshop

Work collaboratively to compose and illustrate a story, translate your drawings into the computer and compile a group animation.

Ever wondered what it would be like to live in China?
Ever wanted to draw all over the walls?
AWESOME and young designers from March invite children to help them construct the atmosphere of a full scale Chinese courtyard house through drawings and sound. The walls, floors and furniture of this reconstructed world will become a blank canvas for your imagination.

Drawing workshops are free but bookings are essential.
